Failed to Update Cloud Activation URL
During an activation between your Belden Horizon Data Manager and an edge device, a "Failed to Update Cloud Activation URL" message may appear when you paste the activation URL in Belden Horizon Data Operations > Device Management.

This can happen if you used a domain name (DNS) that was unresolved instead of an IP address in Belden Horizon Data Manager Admin Console > Settings. See Domain/SSL for more information.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, you must verify the domain name you entered in Belden Horizon Data Manager or make sure that the domain name can be correctly resolved by the DNS servers defined in the edge device. To verify the domain name:
1. Log in to Belden Horizon Data Manager Admin Console. 2. From the Navigation panel, select Settings. The Settings pane appears. The Domain/SSL pane by default appears. 3. From the Domain/SSL section, verify that the DNS name entered is correct.
To verify DNS server is resolving:
1. From another browser tab, log in to Belden Horizon Data Operations. 2. From the Navigation panel, select System. The Info pane appears. 3. From the Navigation panel, select Network. The Network pane appears. 4. Click the DNS / NTP Servers tab. 5. From the Fallback DNS Resolvers section, verify that the DNS Resolver IP address is correct.
